Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data harmonic-advance.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website only. Work we do for clients is covered by our contracts with them.

Who we are

Harmonic Advance LLC ("Harmonic Advance", "we") runs this website and is the controller for the data described here.

What we collect, and why

When you use the contact form we receive your name, email address and message. We use them to reply and, if we end up working together, to take the conversation forward. Messages arrive in our email inbox, and Squarespace also keeps a copy of form submissions. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or steps you ask us to take before a contract.

When you email us at hello@harmonic-advance.com, we receive whatever you send. Our email is provided by Google Workspace.

When you visit the site, our host Squarespace processes technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view. It needs this to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Analytics. We use Squarespace’s built-in analytics to see how the site is used in aggregate. These cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner. We do not use advertising or tracking tools from other companies.

Spam protection. The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to tell people from bots. reCAPTCHA processes information about your device and how you interact with the page, under Google’s own privacy policy.

Country check. If your device’s time zone is set to one used in Russia, the site asks Country.is, an IP geolocation service, which country your IP address belongs to. The site is not available in Russia. For everyone else no request is made. We do not store the result.

Cookies

Some cookies are strictly necessary for the site to work and are always set. Anything else waits for your choice in the cookie banner. You can accept, decline, or change your mind at any time through the cookie preferences link on the site.

Who we share it with

Only the providers that run the site and our email, each acting on our behalf: Squarespace (hosting, forms, analytics), Google (email via Google Workspace, and reCAPTCHA), and Country.is (the country check above). We do not sell personal data and do not share it for marketing.

Some of these providers process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under GDPR, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as the conversation is active and for up to two years after our last contact, unless we start working together, in which case our contract applies. You can ask us to delete an enquiry sooner.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format. Write to hello@harmonic-advance.com and we will answer within one month.

If you are in the EU/EEA and think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In Sweden that is the Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
